Welcome!
Here’s what to expect at The Village Church (our Statement of Faith and ministry overview is available by clicking on our “Welcome” link):
Expect a warm welcome! Our greeters will be out to say hello and welcome you and to assist you in anyway. You may enter through the glass doors on the side or the front of the building. Either way will lead you to our busy "Main Street".
Before you enter the doors of our Sanctuary, you will find lots of activity on "Main Street" - folks visiting, a table for writing prayer requests so that our pastors can share them during our congregational prayer time, a welcome table that is full of information about our church, our ministries, and our ministry partners (be sure to stop and pickup your free gift on your first visit), snacks, coffee, water, and juice, displays from selected mission partners, and drop off bins for the food pantry, Operation Christmas Child, and our local school supply closets.
On one side of "Main Street", you will find restrooms, a conference room, and our offices, while on the other side you will find our Children's ministry wing, which includes brand new rooms for Children's Sunday School, a nursery, and a pre-school play room.
Once you have entered the sanctuary, you will find three additional classrooms on your right, with another one and additional restrooms on your left.
Our service times are 9:00 and 11:00. Regardless of the service you attend, our opening selections call us into corporate worship. During one of our services (9:00), you will hear contemporary songs and praise choruses, while at the other (11;00) you will hear hymns, choir music, instrumental pieces, or vocal solos. Music is carefully selected to augment the scripture that is at the heart of that week’s worship service. After our Children's Moment with the Pastors, children are dismissed and accompanied to Sunday School. Following our statement of faith expressed through one of the historic creeds of the Christian Faith, our youth are dismissed for Bible Study (2nd, 3rd, and 4th Sundays of each month at 9:00 a.m., and even numbered dates at 11:00 a.m.).. Our pastors bring the Word of God to us in creative ways each Sunday and our typical service runs approximately 60 minutes. We share together in the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
Adult Sunday School is available each Sunday at 10:10 in Room 102 , and our Young Families Life Group meets at the same time in Room 108.
Other groups that share our facilities during the week include AA, Grief Share, Midweek Bible Studies for Ladies and mixed adult groups, our Senior Primetimers group, Boy Scout Troop 875, and other community organizations.
