Here’s what to expect at The Village Church (our Statement of Faith and ministry overview is available by clicking on our “Welcome” link):
Expect a warm welcome! Our greeters will be out to say hello and welcome you and to assist you in anyway. Before you enter the doors of our Family Life Center, you will find a table for writing prayer requests so that our pastors can share them during our congregational prayer time, and a welcome table that is full of information about our church, our ministries, and our ministry partners.
You can enter our Family Life Center through the main glass doors, which take you into our sanctuary, or through a metal door, which takes you into our Gathering Room, where folks visit before, between, and after services around donuts, bagels, and hot coffee or cold drinks. To the left of our sanctuary, you will find our nursery for children 3 and under, as well as our restrooms. Our Children’s Sunday School area is to your right as you enter the sanctuary. Our Children are dismissed to Sunday School immediately after the Children’s Moment with the pastors.
While our service times are 9:00 and 11:00, our Gathering Music begins five minutes before the hour. Our opening selections call us into corporate worship. During one of our services, you may hear contemporary songs, praise choruses, hymns, choir music, instrumental pieces, or vocal solos. Music is carefully selected to augment the scripture that is at the heart of that week’s worship service.
Following our statement of faith expressed through one of the historic creeds of the Christian Faith, our youth are dismissed for Bible Study (11:00 a.m. only). Our pastors bring the Word of God to us in creative ways each Sunday and our typical service runs approximately 60 minutes. We share together in the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
Adult Sunday School is available each Sunday at 10:10 in “Modular B”, the closest of our portable buildings to the Family Life Center. “Mod B” is also the home of our Youth Bible Study, Grief Share, Boy Scout 875, and community organizations. It will soon be replaced with new space in phase 2 of our building program.
We look forward to seeing you soon at The Village Church.
