Rev. Michael Legaspi
Associate Pastor
Pastor Mike is a native Texan who found his way to our area as a student at Flagler College. After receiving a B.A. from Flagler College, he went on to receive an M.A from Bethel Theological Seminary as well as Continuing Education from both Princeton and Asbury Theological Seminaries. Pastor Mike has served with Young Life International and Presbyterian and Methodist congregations as Congregational Care Minister and Contemporary Music Worship Leader.
Pastor Mike is a veteran of youth ministry and outreach, having served more than 20 years with Young Life and churches. His field work has been in medium to large churches with volunteer teams, multiple staff, and supervision and mentorship of Youth professionals. In several settings he has developed programs of outreach and nurture, evangelism and discipleship. His experience has encompassed a relational and incarnational outlook toward serving the community and local church. He has been a retreat speaker, preacher, and graduate youth ministry seminar instructor. His skills include leading cross-cultural missions in Latin America including Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Haiti.
Pastor Mike is a native Spanish speaker and professional musician, whose favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11 (“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”). Pastor Mike considers himself a foodie and loves all types of music and guitar styles.
In his free time, Pastor Mike loves the outdoors, especially with family and fishing. He is married to Brenda Legaspi and the father of four boys, Cameron, Connor, Aaron, and Adam.
