joined The Village Church Ministry Team in January of 2006 and has worked with
youth through the church and as a volunteer at Pacetti Bay Middle School and
with North St. Johns County Wyldlife. A 35-year veteran of youth ministry, Tom
has served in Methodist, Charismatic, Presbyterian, and Interdenominational
camps as well as Lutheran and Independent camps, coached soccer and basketball,
and is a frequent camp, retreat, and FCA speaker. He has also been active with
the ministry of Operation Christmas Child since 1995.
A native of Western Pennsylvania, Tom has a B.A. degree in Journalism (Sports
Communications) from the University of Pittsburgh, and spent time as a sports
writer and broadcaster before going full-time into youth ministry.
His favorite Bible passage is Psalm 139, especially verses 13-14 – “For you
created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you
because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know
that full well.”
Tom enjoys sports, reading, walking, and roller coasters. He and his wife Deb
were married in the same place where they met.
